AnandTech reports from CES 2017, about a “dock” from GIGABYTE which hooks up via Thunderbolt 3 and gives you four USB-C and four USB 3.0 ports. We’ve put the word “dock” in quotes, because it doesn’t deliver power. It’s more like an old-fashioned USB hub in that regard.
What’s interesting and notable is that we have a manufacturer like GIGABYTE who typically does not have products in the peripherals space. So it’s interesting to see if this particular product will actually be brought to the market, and we’ll report when the price for the end consumer is known.
