The Verge reports about a new product from Satechi: the Type-C Power Meter. As The Verge comments, there is no way to know whether a cable and/or charger is safe. Amazon reviews don’t help much, even well-known manufacturers get it wrong, and measuring is thus the only way. This new USB-C Power Meter is interesting but we’re not really sure if/how it helps with unsafe cables and chargers. We’ve ordered one to see how it will function, and will update when we know more.
